    NHS PATIENTS INFORMATION

    Fox and Goose Dental Centre are a recognised NHS dentist in Birmingham. We are always taking on new patients and everyone is welcome to visit the surgery. We are available for all NHS treatments that are necessary to protect the health of your teeth and mouth. This includes fillings, dentures, crowns and bridges.

    Please contact us for more information about what we cover for NHS treatments.

    All NHS patients are treated to exceptional care and treatment plans. We can discuss these in detail with you and help you to a course of treatment (if needed) to ensure your oral hygiene and teeth are in the best possible condition.

    There are 3 bands of NHS care, please see below for more details of the treatments we cover and more information on NHS charges.

    Our NHS Prices

    Please see below a more in-depth detail about the NHS dental charges. The 3 bands that NHS treatments are charged under cover many areas of dentistry and more. Some people may be exempt from charges, please see below for information on these exemptions.

    Band 1

    This covers an examination, diagnosis (e.g X-rays), advice on how to prevent future problems and a scale and polish if needed.

    Band 2

    This covers everything listed in Band 1 plus any further treatment such as fillings, root canal work or taking teeth out.

    Band 3

    This covers everything listed in Bands 1 and 2 plus crowns, dentures and bridges.

    Exemption criteria and free care

    NHS care is free to certain people or partial help can be provided to patients who are eligible. Please see below details of exemptions that apply.

    Free Treatment

    Free treatment is available for patients under the age of 18, expectant and nursing mothers or people who claim certain benefits, such as jobseekers’ allowance. In some cases, such as students you can apply for help towards the cost of NHS dental treatment. If you need anymore information, please ask any of our staff members.

    Partial help

    If you are on a low income you may be eligible to receive financial help through the NHS Low Income Scheme. To apply for an HC2 certificate, you should complete form HC1, which is available from Jobcentre Plus offices or most NHS hospitals. Your doctor, dentist or optician may be able to give you one, too. You can also get an HC1 form by calling 0845 610 1112. To read more about partial help please click here.
